Have Madhur Bhandarkar and the Bachchans made peace?

It was widely reported at the time Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s pregnancy was announced that the actress had been signed by Madhur Bhandarkar for ‘Heroine’. Bhandarkar was miffed that the actress didn’t see fit in telling him about her condition in good time. However, a year later, it seems that Bhandarkar and the Bachchans have finally buried the hatchet.

When Bhandarkar had found out, Bachchan had said she would ensure all of her projects were complete before taking maternity leave. However, Bhandarkar had immediately dropped her from his project. According to ZEE News, the family and Bhandarkar had since been very cold towards each other. In a turn for the books, Bhandarkar was recently spotted with Amitabh Bachchan at a suburban hotel, chatting as if nothing was wrong.

An eye witness revealed, “The cold war is a thing of the past. Bhandarkar actually walked up to Bachchan while he was shooting for a commercial at the hotel. Bachchan looked at him, smiled and met him very warmly”.

In the months after Aishwarya was dropped, Kareena Kapoor was signed for ‘Heroine’. It is currently in the filming stage and will be releasing in September.
