‘Hate Story 4’ inspired by real life events

With the erotic horror genre finding a place within the Indian film industry, the ‘Hate Story’ franchise seems to be growing. However this time , the fourth installment will apparently be a little more close to home than before.

Talking about the film, Mumbai Mirror reports director Vishal Pandya explaining, “The film is inspired by real incidents that made headlines. The hatred you will feel while watching it is triggered by real life incidents which the film takes inspiration from. It is based on issues that are happening around us and affect women. We always hear people speaking about taking action against the issue, but this film will see us taking a step against it.”

Talking about the franchise, Pandey revealed how close to the films are to him. “The ‘Hate Story’ franchise is the most loved and is close to my heart. We always work on surprising the audience with something newer than previous films,” he expressed.

“‘Hate Story’ films have been made on medium budget and the returns have always been very good. What helps the ‘Hate Story IV’ tremendously is that it is slick. Its musical score and picturesque song locations with the right dosage of erotica add to its appeal. All ‘Hate Story’ songs have been chartbusters and the tracks in the new film are no less,” the film maker went on to add.

Starring Urvashi Rautela, Karan Wahi, Vivaan Bhatena, Ihana Dhillon and Gulshan Grover, ‘Hate Story 4’ is set to hit the big screens on 9th March.
