Harvest TV fronted by Barkha Dutt to launch in India this weekend

A new English news channel is set to launch in India this weekend to coincide with India Republic Day.

Harvest TV will go head-to-head with India’s leading English news channel, Republic TV. It is owned by Veecon Media and will see the return of high-profiled journalists Barkha Dutt, Karan Thapar and Punya Prasun Bajpai, according to The Print. Dutt and Thapar will host primetime shows. Vineet Malhotra and Seemi Pasha will also join the channel.

The channel will launch along with Republic TV’s Hindi channel Republic Bharat on Sunday 26th January.
