Harshvardhan Kapoor: “My ambition has been to do films I’d like to watch”

Though he hasn’t had a great start to his career with both of his films bombing at the box office, Harshvardhan Kapoor feels upbeat and positive about his failures.

“My ambition has always been to do films I would personally like to watch… ‘Mirzya’ (2017) attempted to do something new with the Indian romantic musical, while ‘Bhavesh Joshi Superhero’ (2018)… to a certain extent it did manage to be an important moment in the Indian superhero genre,” Ahmedabad Mirror reports the actor explain.

He went on to say, “Now, had these films sold more tickets it would have been better for everyone, but I can sleep well knowing that I followed through with my conviction and took the chance and did the stuff that I believed in… and have two unique works of art, be it flawed, to look back on.”

Kapoor will next be seen on the silver screen in the Olympic gold medalist’s Abhinav Bindra’s biopic. Here’s hoping this next one will see him on the rise to success.
