Hansal Mehta, known for his take on real-life characters, will reportedly make a film on India’s ‘Iron Lady’ Irom Sharmila.
DNA India reports that the film will closely follow the Iron Lady’s struggle over the years, who ended her 16-year hunger strike yesterday. She was force-fed through a nasal tube to keep her alive.
Mehta has worked on films like ‘Shahid’ and ‘Aligarh’ previously. He will be directing another biopic ‘Simran’, starring Kangna Ranaut.
