‘Half Girlfriend’ becomes 1st Indian film to shoot inside the United Nations

Recently, there has been much buzz about the upcoming film ‘Half Girlfriend’, which stars Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor. It’s broken a record by being the first ever Indian film to be shot inside the United Nations.

As reported by Deccan Chronicle, Suri revealed that this is the first film that has been shot inside the United Nations with special access. He said, “When we had gone to New York and were hunting for locations to shoot, I randomly uttered if UN could give us the permission to shoot for our film, and when I went to them and said, ‘The character in my film works in United Nations with the Bill Gates Foundation to earn money to make bathrooms in his college in village, and this is the fundamental reason why girls don’t go to schools in rural areas,’ and that is why we got that location free”.

He continued “We got to shoot in such a place where most of the people in the world do not enter and not even get security clearance”.

‘Half Girlfriend’ is set to be released on 19th May.
