‘Haider’ toughest role yet for Shahid Kapoor

Shahid Kapoor has definitely had his fair share of diverse roles throughout his career. However, his most recent project ‘Haider’, it seems, is his most thought-provoking yet.

Being an adaptation of Shakespeare’s ‘Hamlet’ with him as protagonist, Kapoor expresses how this role has been his most challenging to date. “Its a wrap on ‘Haider’… Only when you play hamlet you realise what a complex part it is. Probably my toughest yet!! And where does the bus go from here. No clue yet. Deep deep house and very very comfy sofa for now,” the actor explained through micro-blogging site Twitter.

Slated for release on 12 September, the film will also star Tabu, Irrfan Khan, Kay Kay Menon and Shraddha Kapoor.
