Gurmeet Choudhary offers financial help for a woman’s heart surgery

Lauded for his debut in ‘Khamoshiyan’ (2015), as a psychopathic husband, Gurmeet Choudhary has several movies lined up for release, much to the excitement of his fans.

Known for indulging in wanderlust, the young actor was recently in Indonesia, where he got to know of a woman in need of surgery through a friend in the country. The woman had a critical heart condition, but couldn’t afford the surgery due to her family’s financial crisis.

Moved by their plight, Choudhary urged the family to go ahead with the surgery and bore all the expenses of the treatment.

The actor informs, “Two to three months ago, I had been to Indonesia for some work. That is when someone I knew there told me about a woman with a heart problem. She needed a surgery. Due to financial crisis, her family couldn’t afford it. I urged them to go ahead with the surgery without worrying about the expenses. I assured them that I’ll take care of it.”

After the woman called the talented actor to convey her gratitude while he was in India, Choudhary immediately flew back to Indonesia to meet her.

“Just recently, I got a call that the woman has been treated and she is doing well. I immediately flew to Indonesia to meet her. I wanted to be part of the family’s happiness. These moments are rare,” he adds.
