Gurmeet Choudhary had joined TV after Yash Chopra�۪s advice
Popular television star Gurmeet Choudhary will soon be making his big-screen debut.�� The actor says that he had chosen to act on television first after receiving advice from the legendary filmmaker, Yash Chopra.
Speaking to DNA India, Choudhary said, ���One day I managed to meet Yash Chopra. ��It was he who guided me to do TV. ��I was 18-19 years old then and Yashji gave me the example of Shah Rukh Khan. ��He said, ‘SRK se bada example kya hai. ��He has come from TV. ��Why don’t you also do TV and make a name for yourself there first’. ��That’s how I started doing serials.�
As well as having acted in popular television serials such as ��Ramayan�۪, ��Geet Hui Sabse Parayi�۪ and ��Punar Vivah�۪, Choudhary has also participated in the reality shows ��Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa�۪ and ��Khatron Ke Khiladi�۪.
The actor will be making his Bollywood debut in Vishesh Films�۪ ��Khamoshiyan�۪, which also stars Ali Fazal and Sapna Pabbi.�� It is slated to release on 30th January 2015.
