Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s most controversial film ever ‘Padmaavat’ has been through many twists and turns, with the latest involving Gujarat Multiplex Association deciding against the screening of the film next week.

The Supreme Court of India lifted the ban against of the film in Rajasthan, Gujarat, Haryana and Madhya Pradesh but it seems some cinema chains are scared of screening the film due to threats by the Karni Sena.

Rakesh Patel, Director of Gujarat Multiplex Association told ANI, “We have decided not to screen the movie in whole of Gujarat. Everyone is scared, No multiplex wants to bear the loss. Why will we bear the loss?”

‘Padmaavat’ will have a solo release on 25th January, while ‘PadMan’ has been shifted to 9th February 2018.
