Grand Showbiz Entertainment to globally distribute ‘Actor-in-law’

Actor in Law 400x

Starring Pakistan’s heartthrob Fahad Mustafa, Mehwish Hayat and veteran Bollywood actor Om Puri, ‘Actor in Law’ is a clash and convergence of dreams and reality

This EID-UL-ADHA, from the makers of ‘Na Maloom Afraad’, producer Fizza Ali Meerza and director Nabeel Qureshi are back with their sharp storytelling saga.

Fahad Mustafa, Pakistan۪s television big wig is back on the silver screen with his next film, Actor in Law. The film portrays protagonist Fahad as an aspiring lawyer, who is possessed by his passion to become a superstar actor.

Shan Mirza (Fahad Mustafa), always dreamt of being an actor, but as with every typical Asian family, was forced to take up something deemed as more serious as career by overbearing father Om Puri.

This courtroom drama will have audiences in a hysterical fit when Shan Mirza delivers famous Bollywood movie dialogues while fighting his client’s battles.

The plot set in Pakistan takes a dramatic turn when Mirza is suddenly exposed as a criminal to the whole world. What did Shan Mirza do to earn this reputation? Who exposed him?

Audiences will get a glimpse of how Shan’s life takes a negative course as he is faced with difficulties, rejection and stigma. This leads him to take us on a journey of a young dreamer who begins to change the system with a purpose.

The film’s narrative is laced with humor and romance that borders on social satire and moral relevance. The story provokes to look at our social life differently and do something about what۪s stagnating in us. The film also touches upon the sensitive topic of minorities in Pakistan to highlight an underlying issue in the country.

Termed as a social comedy۝ by the leading actress, Mehwish Hayat, who depicts the role of a journalist, and plays the love interest of Shan Mirza, the film will not only tickle your tummy but also leave you with something to think about.

‘Actor in Law’ also marks the debut of Indian actor Om Puri in Lollywood. The movie releases in UK cinemas this EID-UL-ADHA.
