Grand bash for Sridevi’s 50 years in B-town

Sridevi’s next film ‘Mom’ will be releasing this year, incidentally in the same year that marks her 50th anniversary in the Indian Film Industry. News has it that her hubby dearest Boney Kapoor is planning a special celebration.

“As she completes 50 years in the Indian film industry in 2017, her husband Boney Kapoor is planning to bring together all her co-stars on one platform for a  grand celebration,” said a source, according to Deccan Chronicle.

Sridevi first graced the big screen at the age of four. A source adds, “Sridevi has no idea of how many films she has actually done. As a child artiste, she thought she had done only 15-20 films until someone pointed out that she had done nearly 40 films. Also, she thought she had done around 20 films with Kamal Haasan until the actor told her that they have done more than 40 films in the South Indian film industry itself.”

‘English Vinglish’ marked her on screen return three years ago but many will be looking forward to seeing her again in ‘Mom’. The film will hit cinemas in July.
