Govinda to do cameo in ‘Aankhen’ sequel?

Recently, BizAsia reported that a sequel of 1993’s ‘Aankhen’ was on the cards. Producer Pahlaj Nihalani has revealed that Govinda, who starred in the original along with Chunky Pandey, may well be seen in a cameo in the sequel.

The sequel is thought to have been named ‘Aankhen Char’ and will be directed by Anees Bazmee. Talking to IANS, Nihalani said, “It is possible. I might rope him (Govinda) for a special gesture. Govinda��had done��a wonderful job��in��‘Aankhen‘��and taken the film to a next level”.

The original movie was directed by David Dhawan and was produced by Nihalani. Nihalani went on to speak about the cast of the forthcoming second instalment, “I want to cast some youngsters in the film. It should appeal to the audience and should be justified. We have not finalised the cast yet. Once we finalise the casts, we shall make an official announcement”.

The film is expected to go on the floors in August.
