Former ZEE Network UK & Europe Head, Govind Shahi is firm favourite to join Colors as its UK Business Head, BizAsia can exclusively confirm.
While the market has been speculating the move for sometime, Shahi has denied the rumours. However, BizAsia understands that a final decision will be made this weekend with an announcement by the broadcaster expected next week.
BizAsia had exclusively revealed last month that Colors was in the process of setting up its UK base with a sales/marketing and distribution division here. Earlier this was being handled by media agencies TMS and Di5. Shahi has been linked with the transition process for the past few weeks.
Shahi is currently a Director at Heath Media (parent company of Di5), which is the media arm of Heath Ventures, a Dubai based Venture operating company. All legalities are being cleared before any decision is made.
Colors is keeping tightlipped about its management in the UK but an announcement is expected imminently. Shahi is also refusing to comment on the story until its concrete.
