Government of Punjab bans ‘The Legend of Michael Mishra’

Arshad Warsi and Boman Irani starrer ‘The Legend of Michael Mishra’ has apparently been banned in Punjab, BizAsia has learnt.

Bollywood Hungama report an official statement came today from a Punjab government official that the film has been banned by primarily the feelings of the��Valmiki community regarding the references in the film to do with��Maharishi Valmiki.��It’s thought that the ban is for two months.

The film was meant to show unity between the communities but it seems that the Punjab state didn’t think that way.

The film releases today and also stars Kayoze Irani and Aditi Rao Hydari.
