‘Goodness Gracious Me’ special to air this month

The special of hit Asian sitcom ‘Goodness Gracious Me’ will broadcast on BBC Two later this month.

The show was commissioned for a special after a successful reunion last year to coincide with 50 years of BBC 2.

The special will feature the original cast members Meera Syal, Sanjeev Bhaskar, Nina Wadia and Kulvinder Ghir.

According to reports, the special will consist of the Kapoors and Rabindranaths as they become the Coopers and Robinsons in an attempt to out-English each other, there are hilarious GGM versions of Downton Abbey and Blackadder and Mrs ‘I can make it at home for nothing’ turns her hand to space travel, using nothing more than a small aubergine, of course. Art Malik and Dave Lamb guest star.

‘Goodness Gracious Me Special’ air on BBC Two at 22:00 on Tuesday 25th August.
