‘Gold’ to mark TV star Nikita Dutta’s B-town debut

TV star Nikita Dutta, who will be soon be seen opposite Zayed Khan and Vatsal Sheth in ‘Haasil,’ an upcoming romantic thriller show, is reportedly making her Bollywood debut in ‘Gold.’ According to a reprots, the star has been signed opposite Sunny Kaushal in the Reema Kagti directorial.

A patriotic sports drama, ‘Gold’ will see Mouni Roy and Dutta, stepping onto the big screen. A source informed that the ‘Ek Duje Ke Vaaste’ (2016) star has been shooting for the film in Amritsar since the second week of September and has a few more portions to film, reports First Post.

After her scenes with Kaushal are filmed, she will reportedly shoot for some significant sequences alongside Akshay Kumar. Then, after the film wraps up, Dutt will resume shooting for ‘Haasil,’ which has managed to pique the interests of the viewers since it marks Khan’s TV debut.

Based on celebrated hockey player Balbir Singh, who led India to victory in three consecutive Olympics in 1948, 1952 and 1956, ‘Gold’ is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar. The film boasts of an ensemble cast and also stars Amit Sadh and Kunal Kapoor.

The film is due to be released during the Independence Day weekend next year.
