‘Ghanchakkar’ promotions cancelled due to Mumbai rain

As the release of the film draws closer and closer, the ‘Ghanchakkar’ team had planned to take on every opportunity given to promote the film. However, due to the tremendous amount of rain, they found that the event had to be cancelled.

All were due to have arrive actress Vidya Balan’s house, many of the people expected found themselves stuck in the rain. “Vidya was ready to leave despite heavy downpour, but due to heavy rain, her staff, which was travelling from various corners (of the city) could not reach her house in time,” NDTV��report a source explaining.

Balan couldn’t do without some of these members, as many of them were a part of the production team, as the source adds, “Even members of UTV were stuck due to severe water logging and were unable to reach. So, naturally she could not attend the promotional event scheduled on Sunday (June 16, 2013) at the mall.”

Despite this, the TV promos which also see Balan pair up with Emraan Hashmi, have received some positive feedback. Not forgetting that ever since ‘The Dirty Picture’ (2011), audiences have warmed up to Hashmi and Balan’s pairing. Here’s hoping that future promo events have better success.
