Geo UK confirms telecast of ‘SurKshetra’

With Sahara One, Colors and Rishtey teaming up for the telecast of the huge talent show ‘SurKshetra’, BizAsia can confirm that Geo Network’s Aag channel will also broadcast the programme.

A spokesperson told BizAsia, “The battle between two arch rivals India & Pakistan has been seen in Cricket & hockey, and this is the first time it comes in Music. Many claim that the Music industry of Pakistan has great potential, and may turn out to be better than its arch rivals in future. We have seen the likes of Rahat Fateh Ali, Adnan Sami and Atif Aslam become some of the biggest music stars across South Asia, let�۪s see if the show proves that Pakistan can beat India in its Music talent!”

The show will run a week behind its India rival channels. ‘SurKshetra’ will broadcast free-to-air on Aag TV starting Saturday 15th September 2012 at 19:00.

Sahara One will air the show at 19:00, Rishtey (UK) will broadcast it at 21:00 every weekends. Colors will telecast the show in India and USA.
