Geo UK confirms Geo News UK launch

Geo UK has confirmed to BizAsia.co.uk that its Sky Digital UK launch of Geo News will be taking place “mid-November.”

The channel has been in line to launch since the beginning of this year but was delayed to reasons unknown. New channels on Sky Digital have also been hit by delays because of memory space lacking on Sky set-top boxes.

A spokesman from Geo UK said Geo News will most definitely be launching in the middle of next month and has not been affected by Sky Digital’s new channel launch policy.

Geo UK and its youth orientated channel Aag TV are currently the only two offings from the Geo Network in the UK.
