Geo UK announces new show launches

Geo UK has confirmed that it will be launching four new serials and one big afternoon soap in the coming weeks.

Starting this Friday (29th June), ‘Teri Ik Nazar’ will occupy the 16:00 slot. The serial is about two daughters Sadaf the elder daughter who is sensitive and Nida who is strong-headed. They both suffer due to lack of love and support from their father as he cares more about his status and sister rather than his own immediate family.

‘Hazaaron Saal’ will take the Tuesday 21:00 slot, starting 3rd July. Its about a young man, Mohib, who falls in love with Zeba, an older woman. She tries to warn him about her past, but he proposes to her and they become man and wife. Their marital bliss, however, is put on hold because Zeba meets with an accident goes into coma. That is when he finds out a secret about Zeba.

‘Bol Meri Machli’ will launch on Monday 16th July and will run Monday through to Thursday at 17:00. Its a play that throws light on the harsh realities of today�۪s society, and talks about how difficult it is for a woman to step into the outside world without her reputation being tainted for life.

‘Adha Din Pori Raat’ launches on Saturday 25th August at 20:00, a serial that follows the story of Shanzay, a beautiful young musician who plays the violin and belongs to a very influential, political family. When she meets Ali Kamal, a young man who comes from a long line of musicians they instantly fall in love and decide to marry. However, little does Shanzay know that their marriage is doomed from the start because her family is unhappy with her choice of husband. A heart wrenching story set against the backdrop of the social prejudices that exist in our society.

New soap ‘Woh Wishtay Woh Natay’ is a soap which is a gripping tale of ambition, success, love, money, and most of all fate. It starts on Monday 2nd July and will run Monday to Thursday at 16:30.
