Geo TV UK launch still on the cards

Many Biz Asia readers have been emailing asking about whether Geo TV still has plans of launching in the UK after a start and stop testing period a few days ago.

After speaking to an insider at the channel’s UK offices, we can confirm that the Pakistani news and entertainment channel will still be launching on the Sky Digital platform “but no so soon”.

The talks between the Pakistani broadcaster and Sky have been ongoing, in fact it was only last Thursday channel officials continued with launch negotiations.

Geo TV are awaiting Sky to get back to them about a possible launch date and other transmission details. Once confirmed Geo TV will be going live, hopefully before year-end. More on this as we get it.
