Gautam Rode: “I’m still struggling to get where I want to”

Gautam Rode is gearing up for the release of his Bollywood film, ‘Aksar 2’. The actor who rose to fame with Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Star Plus’s  ‘Saraswatichandra’ will be seen opposite Zareen Khan, and says that television actors can get work in Bollywood, but his struggle is yet to be over.

In an interview to Stardust, Rode said, “They’d say earlier that actors on television do not get an entry in films but that’s not true. In fact, TV actors have a vast fan base as TV shows now are dubbed in various languages for different markets. Few of our Indian television shows have become hugely popular across the seas. I believe there is a struggle in every phase, only the connotations of the struggle are different to each. As a person and as an actor, I’m not complacent. I want to grow, want to get better opportunities. I have worked hard to get where I am. I come from an humble background but I’m still not satisfied, so technically I’m still struggling to get where I want to and even when I get there, I’ll still be struggling till I have what I want.”

‘Aksar 2’ also stars Abhinav Shukla, and will be releasing on 17th November.
