As recently reported byBizAsia Gautam Gulati was all set to make his Bollywood debut with R-Vision India’s con caper, ‘Udanchhoo’. However, latest developments reveal that Gulati has walked out of the project owing to his dates clashing with an Ekta Kapoor production. The Kapoor film will now mark his debut into Bollywood.
Confirming the news to Mumbai Mirror, Gulati said,”Yes, I informed the producer on Thursday. The dates are clashing with a Balaji production which rolls in June. Ekta ma’am will always be my first priority because she gave me my break on television…I’ve been speaking to Ekta ma’am regularly. The date clash just happened. It might have got sticky if we’d started shooting but right now it doesn’t affect anyone much.”
It can be noted that Gulati made his debut on the small screen with Ekta Kapoor’s television serial, ‘Kasamh Se’ on ZEE TV.
Though the ‘Bigg Boss 8’ winner did not reveal much about his role in the Kapoor production, he did confirm that he will be playing the lead role. With Kapoor’s ‘nudity clause’ making headlines these days, Gulati also cleared that his contract will not include such a clause as the film is aimed at a family audience.
