Gauri Shinde’s next also a human drama

She was responsible for Sridevi’s comeback to the big screens in ‘English Vinglish’ (2012), and just when everyone was starting to question her about her next project, filmmaker Gauri Shinde has already announced that her second directional will also be a life experience based film.

During the opening ceremony of the Mumbai Academy of Moving Image, Mumbai Film Festival 2014, Shinde spoke to the media about her upcoming plans. “Yes I have taken a lot of time, bit I’m presently writing my next so hopefully soon I will start shooting it. It’s not going to be a sci-fi or horror film, it will be a human drama.”

‘English Vinglish’ marked the filmmaker’s debut into the film industry and was applauded for her great efforts. Working with a new director for her come back was seen as a huge risk for actress Sridevi, however it proved as the perfect step for her to take. Here’s hoping Shinde’s next project will also result in the same effect.
