Gangster’s son moves court over ‘Raees’?

Shah Rukh Khan’s next film seems to have landed itself in troubled after the son of the gangster, who the film is allegedly based on cried foul.

According to DNA India, the son of gangster Abdul Latif, Mustaq Ahmed has claimed damages for defaming his late father in ‘Raees’. A local court in Ahmedabad issued a notice to Khan’s production house.

Ahmed has also sought injunction against the release of the film, as well as promotional material. Reportedly, the second half of the film shows Latif’s character in a defamatory manner, according to the the legal suit. Damages are set to be in the region of Rs. 100 crore.

The publication reports that replies to the notice are to be filed by 11th May.
