The future of two of ZEE TV’s primetime dramas ‘Choti Bahu’ and ‘Choti Si Zindagi’ is in doubt due to low viewing figures.

The channel as a whole has had a knock from Sony Entertainment Television Asia, which has surged past ZEE TV in recent weeks after the success of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ and a couple of fiction shows. ZEE TV has been trailing in fourth position behind Star Plus, Colors and Sony TV.

Due to this, ZEE TV is evaluating its output and planning the launch of many new shows to help push the channel back to pole position. Surprisingly, the relaunch of ‘Choti Bahu’ earlier this year has not been able to deliver the ratings that the channel had hoped it would. It was brought back after much demand from viewers but the ratings have not reflect this.

Viewers are also expected to see the pratagonist Radhika, played by Rubina Dilaik die in an upcoming storyline, which will result in a reincarnation track in an effort to boost the ratings of the show.

‘Choti Si Zindagi’ has been on a rocky road since its start. The channel has tried all it can to make the show work with plenty of new storylines but again it has failed to deliver. Choti Si Zindagi۪ is set to make an exit from the channel in early October.

ZEE TV is expected to launch the likes of ‘Afsar Bitiya’ and ‘Hitler Didi’ in the coming weeks.
