FreeSports to broadcast BPL 2017 in UK

FreeSports, the UK’s only free-to-air sports channel, has acquired exclusive UK telecast rights for the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) T20 2017. Coverage of all 46 games will be available via Freeview/BT/TalkTalk channel 95, Sky channel 424 and FreeSat 252.

The channel will show coverage of all 46 BPL matches with over 40 live starting on Saturday 4th November and finishing on 12th December. The fifth edition of the Bangladesh Premier League will feature seven teams, namely Dhaka Dynamites, Chittagong Vikings, Rangpur Riders, Comilla Victorians, Sylhet Sixers, Khulna Titans and Rajshahi Kings.

The tournament will feature global cricketing superstars Soumya Sarkar, Tamim Iqbal, Shakib Al Hasan, – Mahmudullah, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mashrafe Mortaza, Sabbir Rahman alongside English players Joe Denly, Samit Patel, Ross Whiteley, Liam Dawson, Jos Buttler and Adam Lyth among others. The tournament will also feature marquee T20 players Chris Gayle, Kumar Sangakkara, Shane Watson, Shahid Afridi, Marlon Samuels, Luke Ronchi, Darren Sammy and Luke Wright.

This year, the domestic Twenty20 tournament league will commence at Sylhet before moving on to Dhaka on 11th November for the second phase of the round robin league and then to Chittagong for the third phase of the league before returning to Dhaka on 2nd December for the playoffs culminating in the Grand Final on 12th December.
