Four stitches for Hema Malini post head-on collision, four-year-old girl dead

BizAsia reported earlier today that Hema Malini, actress and BJP MP, had been involved in a road accident when travelling in a car to Jaipur, on an unmanned section of the highway.

An NDTV report suggests that the accident was a head-on collision between two cars. A four-year-old girl has sadly lost her life. Malini walked into the hospital herself, she was alert enough to do so. In photos that have been circulating, the actress has a gash near her eye and a reporter has said that she has received four stitches. Four other people have been injured, out of which a mother and her son are critical and currently being treated in hospital.

Police are on their way to the region – as are some dignitaries – to question the driver of Malini’s car who seemed to see his priority to get her to Jaipur. It is being said that he was speeding at the time of the accident.

Malini is currently under observation.
