Presenters of flagship shows – Breakfast and Drivetime will both be leaving this week.

Andy Gill who has been part of the Breakfast show for the past two years is leaving due to personal reasons.

Gill, whose real name is Minesh, had preciously worked for Leicester’s Sabras Radio before moving to London. Sophie Khanna who moved with him from Sabras Radio, real name Vishali, will be leaving too from her weekend show.

Drivetime presenter Paul Shah is leaving for pastures new. He announced his departure from the station on his Facebook with the following message, “This is my last week as presenter on Sunrise Radio. For the first time in history, the Sunrise Radio Breakfast show host and Drivetime host will be leaving on the same day (this was not planned). Join us for our final shows this week.”

Temporary replacements from Sunrise Radio’s other stations Kismat Radio and Buzz Asia will cover Breakfast and Drivetime during the festive break. New permanent voices are expected to move in from January.

Recently, well known voice Tony Patti quit and joined Asian Star Radio, while Anushka Arora defected to the BBC Asian Network.
