Five shows re-scheduled in new Star Plus UK changes

In response to its UK ratings, Star Plus has shifted five new shows in its primetime and afternoon band.

Surprisingly, the recently launched show ‘Kya Qusoor Hai Amala Ka?’, which went on-air last week as a part of Star Plus Dopahar has been shunted to the 22:30 slot. In its place ‘Meri Durga’ has removed completely from the evening 18:30 slot to 12:30. Both these shows have underperformed in UK ratings.

While its too early to predict the future of ‘Kya Qusoor Hai Amala Ka?’, the show ‘Meri Durga’ has brought the 18:30 slot down considerably since its launch in January. Its predecessor ‘Suhani Si Ek Ladki’ was moved to 17:00 when ‘Meri Durga’ launched but was regularly bringing in over 100,000 viewers, while ‘Meri Durga’ has been struggling around the 50,000 mark.

As a result of these changes, ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’, which was previously sat in the 21:30 slot has moved to 18:30 for the first time. ‘Ishqbaaaz’ has moved back to 21:30 and ‘Dil Boley Oberoi’ has been shifted 30-minutes back to 22:00.

The changes come into effect today (10th April 2017):
12:30 Meri Durga
18:30 Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai
21:30 Ishqbaaaz
22:00 Dil Boley Oberoi
22:30 Kya Qusoor Hai Amala Ka?
