First ‘Dance India Dance’ winner announced

The winner of the first season of ‘Dance India Dance’ has been announced at a glitzy ceremony held earlier today at Andheri Sports Club in Mumbai.

Favourite Mohammad Salman who was mentored by Remo D’Souza was crowned the winner. Alisha mentored by Ranchi was the first runner-up while Siddhesh Pai was the second runner-up.

Jai Kumar Nair got the least votes among the finalists and was eliminated before the winner was announced.

Salman’s prize consists of a cash prize of 50 lakhs and a golden ticket to feature in a song sequence of Boney Kapoor’s next film ‘Wanted’.

‘Dance India Dance’ has been on-air for the past four months and has been hailed a huge success by the channel. Next week will see the return of ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa – Lil Champs’ in the same slot on ZEE TV.
