Fire breaks out on sets of SRK’s ‘India Poochega – Sabse Shaana Kaun?’

Shah Rukh Khan is all set to return to the small screen in the show ‘India Poochega – Sabse Shaana Kaun?’. However, in a somewhat unexpected turn of events, a fire apparently broke out during the shooting of the finale of the show, BizAsia has learnt.

Karan Johar, Farah Khan, Alia Bhatt and Anushka Sharma were in the studio and Khan was about to give the final take when the lights are believed to have flickered and someone shouting ‘Fire!’ made those present rise to their feet. It is thought a generator caught fire.

The fire services confirmed, according to Mumbai Mirror, “Yes, we received a call around 7.45 pm and one fire engine rushed to the spot. The fire was due to a short circuit in the wiring and was doused in 10 minutes and there were no injuries.”

An official from RK studio also stated, “Yes, there was a fire on the sets and the set had to be evacuated. But as soon as the fire brigade arrived, the situation was brought under control.”

The shooting is believed to have resumed around 10pm.

The show is going to be premiering on 2nd March.
