Nawazuddin Siddiqui has always come across as a humble, quiet and self-aware individual. It therefore comes as a surprise that the actor has been booked for assaulting a woman over a parking space.
An FIR has been lodged at Versova police station that the actor had misbehaved and pushed the woman who lives in the same society as him. The actor has been charged undersection 354 of the IPC that deals with assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty.
The 24-year-old woman’s mother, Sona Dandekar spoke to Indian Express about the actor’s alleged behaviour towards her daughter, “Our society has been having a dispute with Nawazuddin who started staying in our society nearly a year back, since he had completely occupied the parking space of the building. Today, when my daughter went to click photographs of the actor again occupying the parking space, he along with his brother and support staff manhandled her and physically pushed her”.
Dandekar also said that the actor had been served notices regarding the parking space but there has no response from him.
