FIR filed against Kanika Kapoor after testing positive for coronavirus

After it was revealed that singer Kanika Kapoor had tested positive for coronavirus, an FIR has been lodged against her.

It is said that the she has been booked for negligence and disobedience to the order issued by a public servant. The FIR was filed against her at at Sarojini Nagar police station.

Talking to PTI, Police Commissioner Surjit Pandey said, “An FIR was lodged at the Sarojini Nagar police station under IPC Sections 269 (negligent act likely to spread infection of disease dangerous to life), 270 (malignant act likely to spread infection of disease danger­ous to life), 188 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant).”

Kapoor is also facing two further FIRs at Hazratganj and Gomtinagar police stations. She had visited three functions in India upon her return from London.
