The Maharashtra government has filed an FIR against Kangana Ranaut.
The complaint was filed after Ranaut’s comments about the Maharashtra Chief Minister, Uddhav Thackeray, in a video on Wednesday after her return to Mumbai from Himanchal Pradesh.
In the video, she sent a stern warning to Thackeray after parts of her Mumbai property was demolished. She had said, “Uddhav Thackeray, tujhe kya lagta hai? (what do you think?) That you colluded along with the film mafia, demolished my home and took revenge on me? My home was demolished today, your arrogance will crumble tomorrow.”
Parts of the building were demolished by Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on what it branded “illegal alternations” in Pali Hills. She had been given a 24-hour notice despite not being in Mumbai due to the lockdown.
The FIR complaint was made at Vikhroli Police Station.
