'Finding Fanny' to release in cut version

The forthcoming Arjun Kapoor and Deepika Padukone starrer ‘Finding Fanny’ may have had tongues wagging when the trailer was unveiled last week but it seems the film is also going to be entering a new territory when it comes to its release internationally.

BizAsia can confirm that, while the film is expected to release in both Hindi and English, it will also be cut and edited specifically to cater for the international audiences. Three months after it’s Indian release, the film will be released in areas such as the US, Europe and the Far East in the cut version, expertly edited by award winning director Nick Moore.

Director of the film, Homi Adajania, told Mumbai Mirror, “The difference between the two versions is just three-four minutes and not a complete re-edit. This English version will be cut by Nick Moore to cater to that audience”.

“It’s the same story but will be told in a way that the firangs understand better. There will be less farce and more of the unsaid bizarreness,” Adajania further commented.

The film is slated for release on 12th September.
