Ferzad Palia to step down as Business Head of JioCinema

Ferzad Palia is stepping down as Business Head of JioCinema after nearly two decades with the organisation. During the transition period, he will remain involved to ensure a seamless handover of his responsibilities.

Palia has been instrumental in JioCinema’s growth, managing both its subscription (SVOD) and ad-supported (AVOD) streaming services. His leadership was key in launching Voot Select, Viacom18’s premium streaming service, which later merged with JioCinema. Palia also played a central role in Viacom18’s successful expansion into live sports.

Prior to his work with JioCinema, Palia headed Viacom18’s Youth, Music, and English Entertainment divisions, where he contributed to the growth of the English Entertainment portfolio and led a successful turnaround for Vh1 India.
