There have been rumours galore about the casting Rhea Kapoor’s ‘Battle For Bittora’ adaptation. Now, Rhea herself has confirmed that her sister Sonam will be seen opposite Fawad Khan once again for the film.
A spokesperson for Rhea has confirmed that Khan will commence the shoot in June. A source told Mumbai Mirror, “Rumours are buzzing that the film has been shelved because Shashanka (writer director Shashanka Ghosh, who also directed Khoobsurat) couldn’t crack the script. But that’s far from the truth. The screenplay has been locked. It showcases an interesting conflict between two diametrically opposite characters”.
Talking about attire for the movie, a source also divulged, “Sonam will be traditionally styled, seen in cotton sarees favoured by our politicians. Fawad’s wardrobe will be similar to what he wore in Khoobsurat”.
June is the ideal time to begin the movie as Khan will have some spare time after shooting for Karan Johar’s ‘Kapoor and Sons’ and Sonam will be free having wrapped up a schedule of the Neerja Bhanot biopic in May.
