Fawad Khan’s second Hindi movie, ‘Kapoor and Sons’, released yesterday. The actor has been getting rave reviews for his performance. Where he may have put in a no intimacy clause, he has said in an interview that he’s willing to cross the “besharam” line.
Talking to Filmfare, Khan said, “As an actor I am willing to get besharam. That۪s not being afraid of trying new things. You should be able to make fun of yourself. Getting into the skin of the character liberates you. If you try to look polished and smart all the time then you will act that way. But when you attempt a new guise, a new character, then you become that person. You can always blame it on the character you played if you fear being judged.”
He also spoke about the forthcoming Sahir Ludhianvi biopic which is being helmed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, with which his name was associated with in reports. “There was talk. I۪ve heard the subject. I۪ve had the chance of meeting the producer and the director. But nothing has been finalised. I prefer to remain tight-lipped about things unless something concrete happens because then you appear to be dropping names. That I was offered this project but I didn۪t do it,” he said.
Khan will be seen next in a cameo for Karan Johar’s directorial ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’.
