Fawad Khan bags another project?

Fawad Khan, it seems, was said to be the best thing about recent release, ‘Khoobsurat’, according to many reviews. The actor is definitely popular with the ladies but it seems he is also gaining popularity with filmmakers. BizAsia has learnt that he has been signed for the male lead role in Akshat Verma’s first film as director.

Verma, who wrote Imran Khan starrer ‘Delhi Belly’ (2011), is all set to get behind the camera. A source spoke to Khan about the project and told Mumbai Mirror, “He has already been sounded off. He has reacted positively to the story idea. The film, an intense drama with comic touches, will be produced by the same studio that bankrolled Khoobsurat. It will go on floors by November and has an ensemble cast. Auditions are currently on full swing”.

It seems the makers were keen on seeing the response to Khan’s debut in ‘Khoobsurat’ before officially bringing him on board. The source added, “Now that it is obvious that he has been accepted this side of the border too, they can’t wait to start a second film with him…The paperwork is yet to be done. The final call will be taken as soon as he is back from Pakistan”.

No doubt fans will be delighted with the news and will be eagerly waiting to see this handsome hunk on the big screen again.
