Music maestro, A R Rahman has landed into trouble as reports are that a fatwa has been issued to him and the Iranian filmmaker Majid Majidi over their film which is based on the life of Prophet Muhammad.

According to Bollywood Hungama, the fatwa has been issued by Sunni clerics on the question raised by Raza Academy, who have alleged that the film titled ‘Muhammad: Messenger God’ shows Islam in bad light and therefore the Muslim community has rejected the film. The visuals in the recently released film mock the religion and fatwa, that has been issued comes in wake of protests from Muslims over making and release of such kind of films.

The fatwa also mentions that the title of the film is quite offensive as it can be used by the people in wrong manner, leading to their insult. Along with this, the Raza Academy also alleged that the actors in the film have charged money and therefore the character can also come in question.

Issuing of fatwa thereby calls for protest by the Muslim Community. The Raza Academy has reportedly also approached Home Minister Rajnath Singh and External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj for banning the film.
