Fatima Sana Shaikh: “I would like to set up a production house”

She rose to stardom after finding fame in Aamir Khan starrer ‘Dangal’ (2016) and she hasn’t looked back since. Though her previous venture ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ (2018) failed to impress, the actress is looking onwards and upwards and seems to know exactly, which direction she wants to go in.

Talking to the media, Shaikh expressed how eventually she’d love to work behind the camera and build her own production house. “Yes, I would want to make my own films. I would like to set up a production house at some point in life. My brother is a writer and he would want to direct and I want to be one of those people who adds value to the Indian cinema.”

When asked if we will be seeing this anytime soon, the actress went on to say, “Right now, I have just started my career so let me prove myself here, then I will get into production.”

Shaikh will be seen sharing the screen with Rajkummar Rao in Anurag Basu’s next. Having had a taste of failure, she explained, “I am too critical and take myself too seriously. I am too hard on myself but I want to take it in a positive way. Before TOH, I would become upset and used to have negative thoughts. Now if I have flaws, I work upon them. I don’t sit and sulk over it. I rather do something on it.”

Here’s hoping her next outing will see her in a much better light than the last.
