Fast TV goes off air; future looking bleak

Islamic channel, Fast TV’s tenure on the Sky Digital platform looks to be short-lived after it went off air yesterday and has been showing a black screen since then.

Fast TV launched at the end of October when it replaced AT Global on the platform. It had been displaying on-screen messages giving viewers hope that new shows are to begin but that now looks unlikely.

BizAsia.co.uk attempted to contact Fast TV about its future but did not receive a response at the time of filing this article. If Fast TV has permanently gone off air, it is likely to be replaced by another broadcaster.

There have been talks that previous owners of AT Global have been working on a new channel called AT Broadcasting (ATB), which will launch on Eurobird, Asia Set and Galaxy platforms. Could AT Broadcasting replace Fast TV? It all remains to be seen, keep it with BizAsia.co.uk for more.
