Janhvi Kapoor, who is currently in Punjab shooting for ‘Good Luck Jerry’, has apparently had to put filming on hold for the second time this month due to the farmers’ protest.
Reported on TOI, Kapoor was shooting in Patiala when some of the protesters reached the location with raised slogans against the filmmakers shooting in the city, demanding the ‘Ghost Stories’ (2020) star to speak up and support the farmers, “This is not an issue against any actor of film, the farmers wanted them to support their cause since agriculture is something that affects everyone. Not just Janhvi, they also demanded that other Bollywood actors too should come out in support of the farmers,” said a source.
The protesters later reached the hotel where Kapoor and the crew are staying and continued to chant the slogans. The farmers have expressed that they are disappointed in the way the Bollywood industry has remained silent and will continue to prevent future filming in the city.
