Farhan Akhtar uninterested in comeback as director?
Farhan Akhtar has been an impactful director in Bollywood, with iconic films like ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ (2001) and ‘Don’ (2006) in his repertoire. Eight years after the release of ‘Don 2’ (2011), it seems he is in no mood to return to directing anytime soon, much to his fans’ dismay.
According to a source, “Though no one is saying it aloud, the direction phase is over for Farhan. He is now totally into acting and some singing. He has completed ‘The Sky Is Pink’ (2019) and is immersed in playing a boxer in ‘Toofan’. Direction is a part of Farhan’s past.”, The Asian Age reported.
‘The Sky Is Pink’ has gained critical acclaim and is currently playing in theaters. ‘Toofan’ will release on 2nd October, 2020.
