Farhan Akhtar to join Shahid Kapoor in hosting IIFA

At this year’s International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards, it was announced that Shahid Kapoor would be taking over from Boman Irani and Riteish Deshmukh as host. News has since emerged that Farhan Akhtar is now going to be alongside Kapoor as co-host.

The multi-talented producer-director-actor will no doubt bring his charm and wit to the coveted award ceremony which will be taking place on 9th June in Singapore, as confirmed by Deccan Chronicle.

This year marks IIFAs’ 13th year and stage��performances will be given by Prabhu Deva, Sonakshi Sinha and Bipasha Basu. Kapoor himself will also be taking to the stage to show off his much-loved dance moves.

Prabhu Deva will also be choreographing all of the performances this year in a change from the norm.

IIFA weekend will be happening 7th-9th June.
