Farhan Akhtar signs Richa Chadha for digital series?

Digital series are definitely picking up in India, with many creatives using platforms such as YouTube to showcase their work. The latest production house who has apparently set their eyes on the digital medium is Farhan Akhtar’s Excel Entertainment.

According to a report by Deccan Chronicle, Akhtar has signed Richa Chadha to essay a role in the digital series, which will be centred around cricket.

An unnamed source has allegedly said, “Farhan and Ritesh (Sidhwani) are all set to produce shows for Netflix along with Amazon. Their first venture is a cricket-based show called Powerplay, for which they have roped in Richa Chadha in a leading role.”

The actress, who will play the owner of a cricket team in the series, is brushing up on her knowledge of cricket.
