Nikkhil Advani’s ‘Lucknow Central’ is finally underway and it’s thought that lead actor Farhan Akhtar has been spotted shooting for a rain sequence in Mumbai.
Film City has had a version of Lucknow jail set up and Akhtar has been shooting there. He plays an prisoner who starts a band with some of his inmates. Mumbai Mirror reports a source stating, “Farhan and his co-stars shot for a rain sequence amidst tight security. Water tankers had been hired for the most part of the day. It took over a month to erect the set which led to a slight delay in the film’s schedule, which was to take off last October initially. Gippy Grewal is also a part of the cast”.
The film will mark the directorial debut of Ranjit Tiwari and also stars Diana Penty.
