Farhan Akhtar not joining Katrina & Sidharth for Nitya Mehra’s next

Debutante director Nitya Mehra is all set with her sci-fi romance��to be produced by Dharma Productions and Excel Entertainment. ��While Katrina Kaif and Sidharth Kapoor have been confirmed for the project, rumours have also been doing the rounds that Farhan Akhtar will be playing the second male lead. ��However, Akhtar has denied any truth to this.

Akhtar took to his Twitter account to say, “Some false news of me acting in Nitya Mehra’s film doing the rounds. ��I’m not. ��Happy enough to be co-producing it.”

Shooting for the film was earlier slated to start in April 2015 but has now been pushed to later this year.

Meanwhile, Akhtar will be seen acting in sister Zoya Akhtar’s ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’, which is slated to release 5th June.
